The Mantra

Then we thought f*ck that”

When you’re half way through the year, and still have no idea what’s going on, you binge watch TV shows and turn to the internet for solace. So insert that fashion blogger with their perfect lives, their perfect outfits, and damn that perfect outfit. Yeah,

Yeah, Nah, not happening.

Bring me an outfit in all black and a f*ck it type of attitude.

Go, Go, Go!

“I knew that I needed a bit of a change, but change takes time and effort – when you volunteer at a youth organisation (and kind of love your job), your effort doesn’t exactly go towards what you wear in the morning”

Talking about the craziness that has come and for some reason stayed.

IMG_1811 copyWith so much constantly happening, you never know where you stand, not really. As 2016 has now hit spring for us Australians, the season where everything starts to become humid and birds attempt to attack you, I’ve quickly realised how fast this year has gone. It’s not like I haven’t done anything, I’ve done far more than I thought I would do in this time, but it’s not as though I had time to document it or to relive the moment in my head, it’s just been; go go go, Pokemon go (is that game over now? What happened?) Either way, I’ve been moving from one place to the other, going through tonnes of photographs, and setting up for the next, in this whirlwind that occurs every day.  Read the rest of this entry »

Fashion, Film & IT

Une Femme Est Une Femme

Léon: The Professional

Heathers

What do all these films have in common? They all have characters with inspiring fashion that proves that film & fashion come hand in hand.

Also, all these films are mentioned in Alexa Chung’s book ‘IT’.

June // July

It’d reached that point where we are passed the middle of June and we will soon be moving into July. So I wanted to take the time to kind of make a ‘mood board’. I always collect all of these images that I like in some way, and sometimes inspire me. These images make me feel a particular way or think a particular way, and then I wonder what to do with all of these images. I want to keep them with me as each image represents something and I’ll forever associate it with a particular time or event, so I thought I’d share it with you guys so none of it goes to waste. You can see the little things that inspire me and perhaps they may inspire you in some way or another.

Life is unpredictable,

It changes with the seasons,

Even your coldest winter,

Happens for the best of reasons,

And though it feels eternal,

Like all you’ll ever do is freeze,

I promise spring is coming,

And with it, brand new leaves.
